Never ship with USPS

Hello all,

I am here today to share some news. I bought a Xbox from a friend that lives in California last Friday. It had 3 day shipping. Well I waited until Sunday to track the package as I know USPS is horrible with scanning packages and updating the tracking information. Well when I got onto the USPS website and tracked my package it said they haven't received the Xbox yet. So I knew that wasn't right as I was on the phone with him when he took it down to the postal office.

I texted him saying what I saw on the USPS website and he said he was going to go down to the postal office and see what was going on. They told him that they had received the package last Friday and the tracking would be updated tonight. He relayed this information to me and we both thought it was quite funny seeing as the delivery date was supposed to be today. (It was 3 day shipping). I have never had any positive experiences with USPS.. Even though they are the cheapest option I suggest going with UPS or someone else. If it is possible avoid USPS at all cost. Tell me what you think of this and if you have had any bad experiences with USPS.

Here is my tracking.

I have heard a lot of bad things about USPS and deliveries. This doesn't come as a surprise to me. It's best to use anything but USPS for your shipping because if you use USPS, chances are it will come either damaged, not on time, or not at all.

I always use DHL, or just regular economy shipping. USPS are so weird lol. I got a free tshirt from a website, and the shipping was 5 days. Being that they're in the US and I'm in Canada, it was understood. I clicked the link that was given for tracking, and even tried putting in the tracking ID, and all I kept getting was "error".

That being said, USPS has followed through as well, but I always made sure to never order stuff on the brink of the weekend unless I'm using DHL. USPS always messes stuff up if you order on Fridays.

I try to avoid them as best as I can but seeing as they are the cheapest option... I'm probably just going to use UPS from now on.

Luckily I am living in The Netherlands. We are used to ship with PostNL, DHL, GLS or UPS. All of them are quite good, but I prefer PostNL, because it's the most fast and efficient way. Also, for a tracking code, you are paying nothing.

I like using UPS aswell. It seems as if everything the American government owns is subpar with everything else.

Because they're so cheap, their service is lacking. You don't wanna know how many stories there are that are negative about USPS.

I could imagine all of the horror stories about USPS.

Most probable reason why you didn't get the shipping on a Monday, like, received, was because you forgot that most ups and USPS don't deliver on weekends, even if you want them to. They have the weekends off a lot, even if it says they don't.

I think people are too hard on USPS. It's not like they aren't already also delivering 14 million other pieces of mail that day...lol. UPS only delivers packages. They better be able to get it done more efficiently than the USPS.
