CalledID 0
I live in United Kingdom, I have just passed my practical driving test on Thursday. I had to do theory test before I could take practical.i was just wondering what's the different between both tests?
coco 0
I think both the US and UK are relatively similar, in the US you have to take a written for a permit (which I assume is like theory), then practical for the actual license (where you actually drive and such). (I am from the UK myself.)
coco 0
I've only ever lived in one state, but I have heard that the test differs from state to state, so comparing the USA as a whole to the UK may not be possible. And I can definitely say the one I took was fairly easy. Written was 20 questions then matching signs, road is a 5 minute drive around the neighborhood. CalledID 0
My test in the UK lasted for 40 mins I had to do a eye sight test, answer 2 show and tell me questions about the car itself and do 1 manourve out of 4 maneuverszi had to do 10 minutes independent driving which following signs to another location and I had to drive in many conditions. I I also did an emergency stop. There is actually a lot more to this that I had to do so the practical apparently so far is a lot harder than most places. Finally passed. BitsnBytes 0
I tried to get my provisional license (UK) a few months ago, only to find out that because of a drink driving offence on a little 100cc hair dryer 20 years ago, I am on the high risk list and have to pay £100 for a medical on top of the £100 odd quid for the license itself 20 years ago? Come on...

Come on...Will always haunt you, better to stay sober and never do drugs or drink, then being pulled over and fined. USA driving tests are fairly hard, If your above 21 that is, You have to do a written test, a hour driving test, and then basically get a drug test to make sure your clean, but thats only in oklahoma.
