AfricanOreo Posted April 28, 2015 Author Share Posted April 28, 2015 Some ipb 4 sites load slow for me while 3.4 loads fast and quick. Thats odd, iv had nothing of the sort. The only issues iv had are with outbound emails towards hotmail, captcha being glitched during registration, block manager not working, and commerce crashing during registration when customers pick an item. From what I've seen of it, I much prefer IPB 3.x however that might be due to knowing my way around it blindfolded. I just don't like the new layout at all on the forum side or admin side. I have to say I was expecting far more features standard on 4.x which doesn't really seem to be the case. xXx Posted May 10, 2015 Share Posted May 10, 2015 I'm enjoying it, in comparison to 3.x.x it feels much MUCH nicer, definitely tapping into a niche section of the market by making it so hmm, word-presslike? It's lack of applications, plugins and other modifications is slightly disappointing, however given that it's relatively new in it's lifecycle I'm sure it'll pick up to the stage of 3.x.x eventually. For example what I don't like is that the applications are all over the place. They aren't in one place as they were in the IPB 3.x.x. I am missing quick features. Just for example; reset board statistics or automatically merge posts. An improvement is are the standard IPS applications, which are installed already. Cheerio Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 i uploaded a few ipb 4 plugins a week or so ago, still waiting on them to be approved, probably be too old by then lol Thre are a lot of cool things about ipb 4 but there are also a lot of kinks to be worked out and 4 will likelt have a lot of quick sub edutions, 4.0.5 i think it's at already. pages is nice and offers a lot of customisation to even the novice.
