Bahme1940
I had a friend scan my IPB site a while back with a professional vulnerability scanner and he said that for the most part everything checked out.
X_Cube_X
My choice would have to be Xenforo. I have used IPB in the past, but I have to say Xenforo is better
JailsonDelicia
I will go with IP.Board. OFF: Why VBulletin has lost any reputation in the 5x? In his older versions, VB are really popular when the question is security.
OpFor
I will go with IP.Board. OFF: Why VBulletin has lost any reputation in the 5x? In his older versions, VB are really popular when the question is security. It's just a very broken and lackluster platform. IPB and XF kill it in terms of features. JailsonDelicia
It's just a very broken and lackluster platform. IPB and XF kill it in terms of features. Yeah, i heard this. XF has grow up. Well. Back in the topic, I say IP.Board 3X is the best. (But yeah, i use XF, personal questions). Phun
I will go with IP.Board. OFF: Why VBulletin has lost any reputation in the 5x? In his older versions, VB are really popular when the question is security. IPB and xF continued to grow up while vBulletin was in their older series stuck with an outdated template engine and admin panel. The ease of use and "easier" admin interface of IPB/xF won over more users in the time it took vBulletin to create new software - which has lost them a lot of users. Only time i see vBulletin now is on corporate websites. vBulletin still performs really well with huge amounts of data.
Valentine
IPB seems to be pretty secure, at least the most recent versions. Have no experience with past ones. Edited February 10, 2015 by Achromatic
Galaxy
All forum versions are secure however the latest version of a forum software are the most secure
Mortiferr
IPB isn´t secure at all. This is easy to accomplish: type into your browser bar: javascript:alert("Your message here") This can be accomplished on any and every site no matter how secure.
