As Apple announced iOS 8 will be launched this fall.

But, I have heard a lot of different opinions about the new mobile operating system, developed & designed by Apple.

Absolutely love some of the new features, and the design is so sleek, modern and frankly, jaw-dropping.

One thing that slightly bothers me though, is the fact that this IOS version seems a little bit like a giant advertisement: "connect your Iphone to your Imac, Macbook's, or ipod" <--- AKA: Buy 2 or more of our products otherwise it's IOS7 with a new UI.

Mind you, that may just be my cynical self.

Most of this Android had a pretty long time ago, but I have to applaud Apple for making an attempt to catch up to them. I'm still excited to see what else they come up with, though, as I have an iPad.

Yeah, like Debug said, android had most of them features for a long time now, and Apple is just now trying to catch up. Lol.

I think it's really because Apple doesn't listen to there customers, they don't want to hear what people like and dislike. That's why Android is the most selling mobile OS in the world. I mean come on, you have to kick out $100 per year just to put an app on the App Store. Lol. You know how much it is to put an app on Google Play? It's a one time fee of $25, and that's for lifetime!

Apple tries to get you for every single dollar they can, no matter what it is there selling. Apple doesn't have "free" or "open source" in their vocabulary. Apple doesn't even know the meaning of "Reasonable".

iPhone hardware is even behind with the times. Always a tiny little screen, and the latest iPhone only has an 8 megapixel camera. Really? My Galaxy S4 has a 13 megapixel camera on the back, and 8 megapixel on the front, and a huge screen, with UHD Playback and record. Apple isn't anything special, I'm speaking in terms of hardware and software.

Uhm. you expect a new UI every year? Dream on. That wouldn't be feasible.

I dislike the current UI that is implemented and so do hundreds of thousands of others, I thought they were going to change it, clearly not.

Not every year either, just this year.

Yet there are millions which like it better than the old one.

I totally used to be a Google whore and loved Android. I was into rooting, custom ROMs, etc.

But last year I was number 2 in line to get the 5s on launch day at Best Buy.

And as of right now I'm typing this reply on my Macbook Pro.

So, I suppose you can say things have changed. I love my Apple toys and how well they work together. I am sure that iOS 8 will bring a lot more functionality to the devices and hopefully allow them to work more seamlessly together. I am using the Yosemite beta right now and it's looking much better than Mavericks.

Why do you dislike it? It's much cleaner and brighter than the old UI, which was outdated-looking and dull.
