Should be just fine unless you're using an older version of IPB, at which point you'll need to start upgrading apps/hooks as well. Not many people make core edits so provided you haven't either, you shouldn't run into any problems at all. Be sure to let us know if you do!

I'm assuming you downloaded a "nulled" version of IPB by ?

If so, I recommend upgrading again and using the nulled copy I shared,

You have my apologies that you happened across that nonsense. That member's "nulled" releases are precisely why we no longer allow nulled releases by anyone other than Staff or Uploaders.

How do I upgrade? just drag and drop into my FTP?

Yessir! Simply overwrite anything you already have there (aside from conf_global.php and your favicon of course). If you've made edits to restore the copyright text, you'll need to make that edit again. If you're already using 3.4.6, you won't need to upgrade. If you are using anything lower than 3.4.6, you will be automatically prompted to update once you navigate to your ACP.
