Frenchie 34
Well it depends on your needs. If you don't need mobility than I suggest a Desktop.
Kingy 317
Nowadays laptops and desktops are both just a powerful however laptops will be more expensive for the same specs than in a desktop as the parts are built to be more compact were in a desktop, space isn't an issue. So the deciding factor is, will you be wanting to move around a lot with your computer? If so, I'd suggest a laptop.
GTAIVCode3 14
To be honest, it really depends on what you want to do with it. I like using a desktop as a main computer because you can customly build it to what you want it to do. You can't really do that with laptops. Laptops are good for small stuff and it's mobile. -Cookie- 197
I would suggest a Desktop, as desktops you can customize with ease when it comes to gaming, laptops are more preferable for being portable
thetechgenius 14
If you want the most performance for your money, then get a Desktop. Actually, you should build it yourself. Laptops can only be so powerful, and they are no match for a desktop. A GTX 680M mobile graphics card, is NOT the same thing as a GTX 680 for a desktop. Desktop graphics cards are so much more powerful then laptop cards. And you can overclock desktop GPU's and CPUs to what ever they can handle depending on the Cooling and Hardware you are using. Laptops cannot be overclocked much, you wont even see any noticeable performance gains if you overclock a laptop. This is because Laptops don't have good cooling and airflow, and you cannot install aftermarket coolers. Overclocking itself doesn't make the CPU/GPU get hotter, its the Voltage you have to increase to make the overclock stable, thats why you need a decent cooler. If you want the most performance for your money, build a gaming desktop yourself. I don't where your from, but you can buy all the parts you need from Newegg.com (if you in the USA). Guest JohnReed
I personally would rather a desktop bc it is much cheap due to the fact I can build it and it is just cheaper than compacted parts
Guest CreaturezHax
Desktop - They are much better for gaming in my opinion. I hate gaming on laptops.

hermit101 17
Desktop ,unless you would be just using it for webbrowsing and light dutys ,laptops will get outdated quickly sure you can upgrade the ram add a SSD etc but your screwed if you game with it and within a year or so you can't play the latest games at good settings because you gpu is outdated ,at least with a desktop you can upgrade when needed with any parts and costs a lot less

Jrock 181
I like Desktops more for gaming, because they are generally more powerful units than laptops, and hands down a better bargain. Plus, if one element goes bad, which sometimes does happen from the latest games being released nowadays, it's simple and easy to replace, rather than having to risk tearing down the entire unit, paying a ton of cash for someone else to replace it, or having to purchase a new laptop. I personally have a desktop PC and a laptop. They each serve their own purposes. For gaming, I use my desktop, which is a handsomely built iBuyPower machine which gets the job done and then some. My laptop is a Macbook Pro. It's clean and elegant.
