  1. Recently the task logs have begun to say this: As this indicates, the task is now having issues submitting to Bing, which we're not sure how to resolve. These logs also appear on our test site so this lead me to believe it's a general server issue. Our host has been unable to provide us assistance with this issue and we're not professionals so if there's a specific direction we can be pointed to within our server settings, that'd be much appreciated. It's possible updating to 4.6.9 might fix it but I can't say for sure. Edit: Updated to 4.6.9 and this still has not resolved the issue.
  2. Yes, it is shared web hosting. I'm not sure if there's much they can do about it but I'll try to ask them and see what they say about it. I think it's also possible there's just something wrong with how the free version of chatbox operates on our site and I might disable it for a while to test what happens.
  3. I know the site has one for 1.0.1 but that's old and mainly 4.4 compatible. Is it possible to add the latest up to date version, 1.0.2, which supports 4.5?
  4. Lately the FREE BIM Chatbox application (we're on the latest version) has been creating strange uncaught_exception error logs on my site. Usually they're in the File Logs, not System Logs. Here's an example of one that appears in File Logs: Since it's a file log, it's made it difficult to figure out what's wrong. I've cleared the system caches which didn't do anything. I personally contacted the maker of the app about it and they said they've been unable to reproduce this issue. We uninstalled and reinstalled the application, but these still occasionally happen. We checked our bimchatbox file and there is no sign of the "language" function anywhere in there, so I'm not sure why it's mentioning that. For the first time, a System Log appeared today in the ACP related to the issue triggered by a guest, which might help pinpoint to a source of the issue: I'm still not really sure what to make of any of this. If the chatbox is causing problems, I'll disable it, though this does mean our members won't be able to use it anymore. I'm just checking here if there's an obscure place we should consider investigating into if we want to fix whatever's causing the app's problems, but I'd need specifics as we're not server savvy. It's also possible this could be the source of another problem I've been having with a task, but that is just speculation.

    IPS 4.4 Locked Task: queue

The first thing I'd investigate is to see if a third party plugin could be potentially causing it, assuming you have any.
  6. I can safely eliminate one plugin as a cause now, unsure on the other 4 as of this writing. I also found several sitemap_generator.php files in the ACP File Logs (not System Logs). They don't seem to tell us anything we don't already know though, as I can infer it's just telling me the task failed: Only providing this so no stone is left unturned just in case it helps any sleuths. EDIT 2: So after a week of testing, we're pretty positive it's not a plugin causing this. We contacted our host who didn't give us much to work with so we're pretty much lost here sadly.
  7. Our site gets about 20-25 users total a day. It's not much, but ever since we moved to a new server last year, that range had been working fine with our tasks and never caused any task problems until now. The person who configured our server isn't very comfortable with cron, but if all else fails we'll consider the option. For what it's worth, this only started when we updated to IPS 4.6, so interpret that how you will. Yeah, there has never been any task backlog. When sitemap fails, it pauses and keeps saying "Running now..." while every other task continues to run fine without issue. So I don't think us running with traffic is inherently the issue. The lack of any system logs or IPS assistance related to this issue has made it quite a headache for us to figure out. Given this didn't start until we updated to 4.6, that could potentially point to an issue with a third party plugin or app (and since we only have 5 we can hopefully easily narrow it down), an obscure php coding problem, or it's just our server having a connection problem with submitting the sitemaps. We'll try to put in assistance with our host and see what they say from there.
  8. Alright, I've found out: Our memory_limit is currently set to 128MB, and our sitemap is only 723 bytes which is pretty small. The person with server access doesn't seem to believe it's a php upload related issue, but we can keep checking.
  9. We're currently on PHP version 7.4.25. I don't know how much our memory php.ini has in it as I don't run the server, but I'll ask that to the admin in charge of it. We use a paid reputable host known as Digital Ocean. If there's any other details I should provide to get a clearer idea of what might be wrong, I'll gladly provide what I know.
  10. Can't really find anything useful to my situation there.
  11. One of our ACP background tasks, sitemapgenerator, keeps occasionally locking and then running again. Some days it will run fine without issue, but then it will lock suddenly and stop running at certain intervals, only to run again after a few hours. It never did this before in our time on our server. We’re not quite sure what causes it, and IPS didn't give us much to work with in our support ticket, hence why I'm turning here. If there's any further information I should provide for assistance, I'll gladly provide what I can. We should note that there are never any System Logs relating to this, making it difficult for us to pinpoint what causes it. We have our tasks set to run with traffic. If this is an issue with our server host instead of anything IPS related, then we’re not quite sure what to do there either, but if anyone has any advice, I'd like to hear.
Anyone have the most recent release?
  12. Don't own either at the moment but if I had to pick one I'd choose Playstation.
  13. From my experience, I much prefer IPS; Xenforo's design is not my cup of tea.
