Being a streamer myself, I know the struggles. Some things I learned over the years of streaming.
Never stop talking, even if your chat is dead, talk as if people are there, tell stories, narrate what you're doing, etc. Just NEVER stop talking.
Have fun, when you're having fun, the viewers will see it for sure.
Some people will say a webcam is needed, but it definitely isn't. But a microphone definitely is needed.
DON'T BE IN IT FOR THE MONEY. Trust me when I say this, streamers (unless you're super famous) don't make a ton of money at all, so don't even try to get into it for the money, you will most definitely fail. One thing that turns viewers off is someone who is money hungry. The viewers can tell really quickly when you're trying to get money from them.
