w3schools is actually not a place I would recommend going as the information supplied there is not up to standard and it is outdated. For a hardcore beginner, I recommend http://www.codecademy.com/ as you code while you learn and they just do a very good job at creating lessons.

Hey, I am looking all over the place for a nice looking set of forum thread icons similar to what webflake uses. I like the flat design and I just can't find these icons anywhere. Does anybody have a nice set with a flat design? I need icons for: Announcements Forum Suggestions Member Introductions Reports Appeals Videos Games I've tried all the icon searching websites but I couldn't find the right design I'm looking for. I just want to use icons that are flat and modern just like the webflake thread icons on the homepage. Thanks!
