Hello Hoping someone can help me please here . Keep getting this error on old forum I've used had to set a new one up but wanted to get some stuff of this one too . FATAL ERROR Your settings could not be read by IP.Board. This is a fatal error and IP.Board cannot function while this issue persists. This issue is generally caused by changing your character set in the ACP to one that does not support data stored in the rest of your settings, or by restoring a database backup/completing a server transfer and importing your database tables using the wrong character set or collation. You should contact IPS Technical Support for further assistance. Was working fine then couple weeks ago it happened and nothing had changed etc? I can't even access admin CP on the site now as that error stops me getting there I'd be really grateful for any help . Thank you

In fact ignore I've installed 4.2.8 as most of the plugins i wanted seem to work with it so this is working now .

Hello I'm really needing a app like (GS)_VIP_Members_1.0.1 to work on a forum . How ever I've installed this and it's not working at all keeps giving an error in members profile field when they have been moved in to a certain group. Also it doesn't seem to let me select the group they need to be moved in to . I realise it says it works on 4.2.9 and below which made me think it would would work with 4.1.19 version . Is there anything else out there that can do the same thing or anyway this could be fixed to work please? Thank you

HI all I've converted my board from Mybb and everything seems fine but the hide tags i've now installed doesn't recognise the hide tag if it was placed inside the code tag , ( hard to explain ) see picture with what i mean Now my only way around this is to edit every post and remove the code tags and just leave the hide tags but is there away that some of you IP board wizards no to save me all this time as i have a lot of posts like this ! Strange tried this and placed it in the snapshot css like you said and it didn't work yet it worked fine on the default skin that comes with the board? Thanks

Thanks for the reply tried this on the built in skin and the snapshot skin and it still allows the user the close the staff online and the recent topic boxes . Thanks.

I'm using custom side boxes yes I'll check for that option but I'm using the standard box for recent topics which comes with the board . Thank you Lock down finally got it to work i didn't seem to get that green cross to add anything but now i do ? Anyway it's working just added a picture is there a way to make them slide along like on a loop? Thanks for your time Got another issue now I removed. Recent topic hook and now it's messed the forum up on snapshot skin as it's not showing any forums and a error message . Yet the inbuilt IPB skin it works fine ? Worth removing and reinstalling the snapshot skin ? Moving from mybb to this is like learning another language lol . Thank you .

What i was thinking was the path to image upload would fetch the files for me whic is public_html/IP/covers/ ? Thanks

I upload the pictures to a folder called covers on the root directory , is that correct ? Thanks for ypur time

I left them empty as I thought it said default it had found them so I need to fill , so should fill them in ? I don't want to pull any threads or anything from a forum just pictures , do I still need to select a forum for that lock down ? Thanks for your reply

Me again ,,,,, Spent the last 3 and a bit hour on this and seem to be going around in circles now i can not get this Featured Content to work on the index of my page i wanted it to scroll move posters but at the moment i can't get anything to work or show them? I have set up the permissions and the settings look to be fine and uploaded the content to the suggested path /fcontent/thumb/uploads but still nothing at all ? I've added pictures of the settings so someone might notice where i have gone wrong? Could someone please explain to be in simple terms how to get this to work please as I'm pulling my hair out at the moment Thank you
