hi i recently had a message in admin cp that i need to make my uploads directory read write, so i changed that to 0777 and then i had to change permissions on the profile directory in uploads again because ipb told me to, but once i did i recieved an sql error and couldnt access the site.. the weird thing is that if i dont login i can access the site and posts but once i login i get an sql error, the error is below, if someone could pls help me fix it that would be great, i have already tried changing the permissions back but that didnt help. There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. hi i recently downloaded IPS.IP.Board.v3.4.6.PHP.NULL-PNX to install with my ipboard, but when i go to the install notes it says page doesnt exist. its been about 3yrs since i last used ipboard but i think i remember how to install it but am not 100% but willing to give it a go. my only problem is that i am not sure as to which folder i should upload the install files. could someone pls point me in the right direction, and if possible some install notes too pls. i think i upload them to hooks directory but am nit certain and i think i install through managed hooks. all good guys i worked it out i uploaded them to the upload folder overwriting admin n public for anyone else that needs the info. thanks in advance much appreciated.

well its not for me, i cant quick reply, i cant talk in shoutbox and i can not see my content n crap coz it just redirects me to profile instead of opening drop down menu for options.. i give up guess ill stick with IV.. cheers

hey verified sorry for double post, but i need someone to read this.. my site problem still persists.. i cant click on my name andcheck my content etc it just takes me straight to my profile.. this is a nrew pc new browser etc so dont think cleaning cashe will help, i think its my first visit to the site on the pc thanks also i cant talk in shoutbox i cant input text

thanks I think problem solved EDIT*** Not sure ill have to see after using the site for a bit.. I just tried quick reply but couldnt press post, i went to more reply options and was able to send post.. seems to be working a bit better now, still little bugs like when i try edit post, i cant edit coz it doesnt gie option to type, but i get out of the post amd back in and 2nd time around the edit works.. also this time I managed to quick reply to another members post...

lately i cant access the drop down menu under my name.. when i click on it it takes me directly to profile page. i cant see my recent content etc this happens 95% of the time and some time i cant type into shoutbox, the mouse doesnt line up with the input box, you have to press about the box by about 2cm so u can activate the input box to type.. i have tried other pc and still same problem also this is only a problem for me on ths site, no other ipb forum has this problem for mee, so im pretty certain its a site problem ans not a problem on my end.. also im pretty sure i had the profile drop down menu before the domain change, but the shoutbox problem only started after domain change. thanks EDIT************ the shoutbox doesnt work at all, you cant hit enter to send the text, and just found that there is issues with editing a post. i had to refresh 3x coz the edit box was a solid blue and couldnt input text.. looks like this needs some major work... and pretty certain its db issues, youve imported an old db and it hasnt synced correctly..

can you fix your posts, looks like bbcodes stuffed up during db import... webflake there is a way to fix all the posts from your end, this happened on another site Im with and all my guides stuffed up like this.. staff managed to fix it from their end btw welcome back glad to see the site up again, i was starting to miss it lol

hi mate I can help you if you like...depending on how you want the seedboxes to work, you can split them into vps, giving each user his own dedicated vps, using their own resources etc, or you can setup as a shared box, giving users ftp accounts webui etc, there is many ways..there is a few ways and it all depends on your server specs eg: if its big enough to handle decent vps systems, or if it will be shared etc..

i believe thats what his doing, watching video tutorials and building something at the same time, like practical learning.. I doubt he is just reading books..

i just checked out the adobe section at thenewbostin and its perfect well for someone like me anyways... i like basic easy to follow guides.. thanks for the link sorry bro but if you want my help i need you to give me the exact name of the course you want the exams or books for.. all you did was link me to a site and I have to search for course names, and i cant di that coz i dont know which ones your doing.. eg: Zend php 5 CompTIA A+ or Networking + etc..

give me the name of the course and i should be able to provide you either the actual exam or atleast the book for the exam, either way i should be able to help you pass with flying colours

Probably not the forum to post this, but it is a money maker.. anyway's there is a big market for android and ios hacks and people are paying good money for it, and its on a monthly subscription basis.. if you can program I have the customers..

its safer and better to backup directly from phpmyadmin, if your having trouble connecting to phpmyadmin or cpanel you should contact your host support.. Also remember after you export your db to new ipboard, you might have to edit .htaccess so you can re-access acp there is a site i use called KxS that generates your encrypted htaccess password, then you just place it in .htaccess and your good to login to acp..

Hi guys I am trying to resend a few validating emails that some of my members didnt get because there was email issues at the time.. I know I can validate them my self but wanted to know if there was an option to resend to all... I read that this option was removed and then I read some are asking for it back but thats about it.. as to if its back or how to do, I have no idea.... is it a feature thats available or do I have to manually do this.. Hi webflake I want to add a ssl to my website and i have a rapidssl that came with my host plan, which I can use.. My only question is, is it safe to use with a nulled script? will it make it more likely I get caught out using a nulled script or it has nothing to do with it.. Thanks

yup I changed permissions disallowing guest from reading the forums entirely accept for certain sections.. and ill use the TB one, to make members either reply or hit like before they get to view content thanks

Hi I want to be able to hide my links from guests and also want people to have to reply before they get to access the links & codes on my site... I found 2 hooks that can do this I think but not sure if I use one or the other or if I use both.. The hooks are (BIM34) Hide link and code the above can Hide link and code from choosen groups & (TB) Hide Content 3.0.7 This mod allow your members to hide part of the content in their posts so other members will need to reply to the topic before being able to see the hidden content im using ipb 345 by illusion thanks
