If their new pricing model suits you and you do not have a problem with the 100 clients limit and paying $0.20 for each client after the 100, then you can use it.
I dunno what you mean if there is any 'better version of it', as cPanel can only be distributed from the official source (I haven't seen any nulled versions), however I would recommend you choose another panel that can be more reliable than cPanel is such as DirectAdmin or Plesk. (I still consider Plesk a safe option even though they are funded by the same company, and consider cPanel unreliable because they suddenly increased prices and enforced limits without warning or a reason to do that).
